About Natalja Andrejeva

Natalja qualified as a nurse from Latvia University in 2005, at twenty, and began her career as a scrub nurse in general surgery. That grounding in a theatre environment shaped how she works now: sterile technique, anatomical precision and a low tolerance for improvisation.

She moved to the UK in 2009 and joined a well established clinic in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, moving into medical aesthetics and building the injectable practice she has now run for over a decade.

Training other injectors

Natalja is a trainer for Cosmetic Courses, one of the UK's leading aesthetic training providers, where she teaches injecting technique to surgeons, doctors, dentists and nurses.

Teaching changes how you practise. Every decision has to be defensible and explainable, because someone is standing next to you asking why. The approach she teaches is the one she uses on her own clients: assess in movement, start conservative, review before adding.

The approach

In practice that means small first doses and a review at two weeks rather than a maximal treatment on day one. It means treating the cause rather than the symptom, which is often somewhere other than where you are pointing. And it means saying no when a request will not produce a good result, or when the honest answer is that you do not need treatment yet.

What happens at a consultation

Consultations run for about thirty minutes. We go through your medical history, what is bothering you, and what you want to keep, because the second question matters as much as the first.

Your face is then assessed both at rest and in movement. Most of the useful information is in movement, and it is the reason two people with identical lines often need completely different treatment.

You will leave with a clear recommendation, the specific products and volumes involved, what it will cost, what recovery looks like, and what result is realistic. Where a treatment is not right for you, you will be told that instead.

You are not expected to book on the day

For first time clients we generally prefer that you do not. Going away to think about it is the correct response to any medical procedure, and nobody here will chase you.

Before you come, bring a list of any medication and supplements, including anything bought over the counter. Fish oil, high dose vitamin E, ibuprofen and aspirin all increase bruising and are worth pausing beforehand where your GP is happy for you to.

If you have had treatment elsewhere, bring the details if you have them. Knowing what was used, how much and when makes the assessment far more accurate.

Safety, in specifics

As an independent nurse prescriber Natalja can assess, prescribe and administer, which matters more than it sounds. If a complication occurs with hyaluronic acid filler, she can prescribe the reversal agent herself rather than having to find a prescriber first.

Natalja is a member of the Aesthetic Complications Experts and follows the latest recommended protocols in the event of an aesthetic complication or medical emergency. As a registered nurse she also holds mandatory CPR certification, ensuring appropriate emergency-response knowledge and training.

She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, fully insured for all treatments offered, and uses only FDA approved and CE marked products from established manufacturers including Juvéderm, Teoxane and Profhilo.
