Faces do not simply sag. They deflate. The fat pads that sit under the cheek slide and shrink, the bone underneath quietly resorbs, and skin that used to have something to drape over starts to fold instead. That is why a tired looking face is often a face that has lost volume rather than one that needs lifting.

Hyaluronic acid filler replaces that lost support. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar your skin already makes and holds water with, so the gel integrates rather than sitting as a foreign object. It is also reversible, which matters more than most people realise.

Volume is placed where the face has lost support, not simply where it looks hollow.

Why the assessment matters more than the product

Filler placed where the hollow appears is often filler placed in the wrong spot. A shadow under the cheek is frequently caused by loss higher up on the cheekbone, and filling the shadow itself makes the face heavy without fixing the cause.

Every treatment here starts with an assessment of your face at rest and in movement, working out where support has actually been lost. Natalja teaches this assessment to other injectors, and it is the reason her results tend to look like good bone structure rather than like treatment.

The products we use

We work with Juvéderm Vycross, a range of hyaluronic acid gels of different thicknesses designed for different jobs. Volux is firm and built for jawline and chin definition. Voluma lifts the cheek. Vollift works through the mid face. Volbella is soft and fine, made for lips and the delicate tear trough. Volite is used to hydrate rather than add shape.

Matching the gel to the area is not marketing. Putting a firm structural gel into a lip gives a hard, lumpy result, and putting a soft gel into a jawline achieves nothing at all.

We also offer HArmonyCa, a hybrid injectable combining hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite. It gives immediate volume from the HA while stimulating your own collagen over the following months, for a longer lasting lift.

Matching the gel to the area is what stops a lip looking hard.

Areas we treat

  • Lips. Shape, definition and hydration. From 0.5ml, and 0.5ml is genuinely enough for most first timers.
  • Cheeks. Restoring mid face support and lifting the area above the nasolabial fold.
  • Chin and jawline. Balance, projection and a defined lower face edge.
  • Tear trough. The hollow under the eye. Careful, technical work with a soft gel.
  • Nasolabial folds. The lines from nose to mouth corner, usually improved by treating the cheek above rather than the fold itself.
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty. Smoothing a bump or lifting a drooping tip. From £450.
  • Temples. Refilling the hollow at the side of the eye that quietly ages a face.

Each area takes a different gel. Matching them is most of the job.

Safety, honestly

Filler is a medical procedure with real risks, and the most serious is vascular occlusion, where product blocks a blood vessel. It is rare, but it needs to be recognised within minutes and treated immediately.

That is the argument for choosing a medical injector. Natalja is an independent nurse prescriber, which means she can prescribe and administer the dissolving agent herself rather than having to find a prescriber first.

Natalja is a member of the Aesthetic Complications Experts and follows the latest recommended protocols in the event of an aesthetic complication or medical emergency. As a registered nurse she also holds mandatory CPR certification, ensuring appropriate emergency-response knowledge and training.

It is also why we will decline to treat when it is not the right call. If you are asking for a result the anatomy cannot safely deliver, you will be told.

What to expect

Dermal Fillers step by step

Before and during your treatment

  • A thorough consultation before your first treatment, during which your medical history is discussed and recorded so any contraindication is picked up before anything is drawn up
  • Your lifestyle is discussed too, so expectations are managed honestly from the outset
  • The procedure is explained clearly, step by step
  • You and Natalja look at your reflection together, and she shows you how the result will be achieved
  • Photographs are taken for your clinical record only, never used publicly without separate written consent
  • You are made comfortable on the treatment couch and the area is cleansed
  • You are shown the product, and the batch or vial number is recorded on your consultation form
  • Natalja talks you through every step as she works, so nothing happens without warning
  • The treatment is not painful. You may feel the insertion of a very fine needle
  • Every effort is made to avoid side effects, and the possible ones are discussed with you at consultation

After your treatment

  • Stay upright for four hours immediately after treatment
  • No exercise for 48 hours
  • No saunas, steam rooms or heat treatments to the face for 2 weeks
  • No facials for 2 weeks
  • Have treatment at least two weeks before a holiday or an event, so the result has time to reach its full effect
  • Aftercare is discussed with you, and a PDF of the leaflet is emailed to you
  • You are given the chance to look in the mirror before you leave
  • A review appointment is made to check you have the result you wanted, with photographs taken for your record

What age can I have treatment?

We are aware of the power of influence and the harm it can do. We are happy to treat clients from the age of 21, provided we are confident it is in their best interest after a thorough consultation.

If Natalja is not confident about a request, we reserve the right to refuse treatment. We are sorry if that disappoints anyone, but the decision is only ever made for your safety.

Treatments that work well alongside

We offer a range of treatments that complement one another, including skin boosters to plump and freshen the skin, anti-wrinkle injections, polynucleotides, and dermal fillers for the cheeks, temples, tear troughs, lips, chin and jawline. That lets us build a bespoke plan rather than selling you a single treatment, and it is usually a combination that produces the result people actually want.

If you are looking for the latest and most trusted aesthetic treatments in London, Face Code Aesthetic is ready to welcome you.

Questions

Frequently asked

Not at the volumes we work with. The overfilled look comes from repeatedly adding millilitres without reassessing the whole face. We work in small amounts, review, and build slowly across appointments if more is genuinely needed.

Between nine and eighteen months depending on the area and the product. Lips metabolise fastest because the area moves constantly. Structural work on the chin and jawline lasts longest, often eighteen months or more.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, usually within a day or two. Very few aesthetic treatments offer that, and it is one of the strongest reasons to choose HA filler over permanent alternatives.

Less than most people expect. The gels contain local anaesthetic, and numbing cream is applied first for sensitive areas such as lips. Most clients describe pressure rather than pain.

Lips swell the most, and can look considerably fuller for the first 24 to 48 hours. Cheeks and jawline swell far less. Bruising is possible anywhere and settles within a week. Do not judge your result before two weeks.

From £250 for 0.5ml and £300 for 1.0ml, with reducing cost per millilitre at higher volumes. Tear trough is from £390 and non-surgical rhinoplasty from £450. A £50 deposit is taken at booking and comes off the price.
