We start at 0.5ml for anyone new to lip filler, and a surprising number of clients never need more than that. The work is in where it goes rather than how much: supporting the border where it has flattened, restoring the dip of the cupid's bow, balancing an upper lip against a fuller lower one, and rehydrating a lip that has simply gone thin and dry with time.
Volbella is our usual choice for a soft, hydrated finish. Where more structure is wanted, Vollift holds shape better. Expect significant swelling for the first day or two. Lips always look bigger immediately afterwards than they will at two weeks, and judging the result on day one is the fastest route to disappointment.

0.5ml for a first treatment in almost every case. It is enough to make a visible difference and small enough that you can decide calmly whether you want more once it has settled. You can always add. Removing means dissolving and starting again.
Small firm areas are normal in the first week or two as the gel settles and swelling resolves. Genuine lasting lumps are usually a placement issue and can be dissolved. Massage only if you have specifically been asked to.
Around nine to twelve months. Lips break filler down faster than anywhere else because the area is constantly moving.
