IV infusion therapy delivers a measured combination of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream through a drip, rather than through the digestive system.

It is worth being straightforward about what that does and does not mean. Delivering nutrients intravenously bypasses digestive absorption, so more of what is given reaches the bloodstream than would from an oral supplement. What your body does not require is filtered out by the kidneys and passed. It is not a treatment for illness, and it is not a substitute for eating properly, sleeping or seeing your GP.

Who it suits, and who it does not

This is a wellbeing service rather than a medical one. It suits people who want a convenient, supervised way to receive vitamin and mineral infusions, and who understand that individual responses vary widely.

It does not suit anyone hoping to treat a diagnosed condition, and we will not offer it on that basis. If you suspect you have a nutrient deficiency, the right first step is a blood test through your GP, so that whatever is actually low can be identified and corrected properly. We would far rather tell you that than sell you a drip.

Every infusion is preceded by a medical assessment. Where your history makes infusion unsuitable, we will decline, and you will not be charged.

The infusions we offer

All are available as single sessions or in courses of four or six. Intramuscular shots are also available where a specific single nutrient is wanted and a full infusion is not necessary.

Infusions start from £250. Which formulation suits you, and whether a course makes sense at all, is discussed at consultation.

  • Anti-ageing, formulated around antioxidants
  • Glutathione booster
  • Immunity support
  • Detoxification
  • Fat burner, alongside diet and exercise rather than instead of them
  • Myers, the classic multi-vitamin and mineral combination

What the appointment is like

You are seated in a comfortable chair and cannulated by a registered nurse. The infusion runs for around forty five minutes to an hour, during which you can read, work or simply sit. The product is shown to you and recorded on your consultation form before anything is connected.

There is no downtime and you can drive afterwards. Some people notice a cool sensation along the arm as the infusion runs, and a metallic or vitamin taste, both of which are normal and pass.

Natalja is a registered nurse and an independent nurse prescriber, and cannulation is routine clinical practice for her rather than something learned on a weekend course.

What to expect

IV Infusion Therapy step by step

Before and during your treatment

  • A thorough consultation before your first treatment, during which your medical history is discussed and recorded so any contraindication is picked up before anything is drawn up
  • Your lifestyle is discussed too, so expectations are managed honestly from the outset
  • The procedure is explained clearly, step by step
  • You and Natalja look at your reflection together, and she shows you how the result will be achieved
  • Photographs are taken for your clinical record only, never used publicly without separate written consent
  • You are made comfortable on the treatment couch and the area is cleansed
  • You are shown the product, and the batch or vial number is recorded on your consultation form
  • Natalja talks you through every step as she works, so nothing happens without warning
  • The treatment is not painful. You may feel the insertion of a very fine needle
  • Every effort is made to avoid side effects, and the possible ones are discussed with you at consultation

After your treatment

  • Stay upright for four hours immediately after treatment
  • No exercise for 48 hours
  • No saunas, steam rooms or heat treatments to the face for 2 weeks
  • No facials for 2 weeks
  • Have treatment at least two weeks before a holiday or an event, so the result has time to reach its full effect
  • Aftercare is discussed with you, and a PDF of the leaflet is emailed to you
  • You are given the chance to look in the mirror before you leave
  • A review appointment is made to check you have the result you wanted, with photographs taken for your record

What age can I have treatment?

We are aware of the power of influence and the harm it can do. We are happy to treat clients from the age of 21, provided we are confident it is in their best interest after a thorough consultation.

If Natalja is not confident about a request, we reserve the right to refuse treatment. We are sorry if that disappoints anyone, but the decision is only ever made for your safety.

Treatments that work well alongside

We offer a range of treatments that complement one another, including skin boosters to plump and freshen the skin, anti-wrinkle injections, polynucleotides, and dermal fillers for the cheeks, temples, tear troughs, lips, chin and jawline. That lets us build a bespoke plan rather than selling you a single treatment, and it is usually a combination that produces the result people actually want.

Questions

Frequently asked

Responses vary a great deal between individuals, and we are not going to promise you an outcome. What we can say is what is in the infusion, how it is administered and by whom. If you are unwell or persistently exhausted, please see your GP first. That is a genuine recommendation, not a formality.

Sometimes one is all anyone wants. Where a course makes sense it is usually four or six sessions. You will not be signed up to a course at a first appointment.

Administered by a registered nurse after a medical assessment, in a clinic, with sterile technique, the risks are low but not zero. Bruising at the cannula site is the most common. Your medical history is reviewed first, and we decline where infusion is not appropriate.

Yes, and many clients book it on the same day as a facial treatment. It is planned so nothing interferes with anything else.
