Primary hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating with no underlying medical cause. It is far more common than people think, and because it is rarely discussed most people assume they are unusual. They are not. It affects work, clothing choices, handshakes and confidence in a way that is hard to explain to anyone who does not have it.
Treatment works by blocking the chemical signal that tells the sweat glands to fire. The glands are unharmed, they simply stop receiving the instruction. A grid of small injections covers the affected area, most commonly the underarms, though palms and feet can also be treated.
Relief lasts considerably longer here than on the face, typically six to twelve months from one appointment. Most clients describe it as the treatment that changed the most about their daily life.

Yes. Only the treated area is affected and your body has millions of sweat glands elsewhere to regulate temperature normally. Compensatory sweating elsewhere is uncommon with injectable treatment.
The area is mapped in a grid and treated with a series of small, shallow injections, usually fifteen to twenty per underarm. The needle is very fine and each one takes a second. The whole appointment is around thirty minutes.
