Skinvive is an injectable hyaluronic acid skin treatment designed to hydrate, smooth and refine the skin for a luminous glass skin effect. It is placed as a series of tiny deposits just under the surface, where it improves the quality of the skin itself rather than its shape.
It is particularly suited to improving skin texture, roughness and the appearance of acne scarring. That makes it a different proposition from Profhilo, which is the better answer for crepiness and lost elasticity. Where the complaint is that skin looks rough or uneven in raking light, this is usually the treatment being described.
One treatment can provide results lasting around six to nine months, with maintenance tailored to your skin.
Expect small raised bumps at the injection points for a few hours and possible slight redness for a day. Most people return to work the same day.

Profhilo is for hydration, bounce and crepiness. Skinvive is for texture, roughness and surface quality, including the look of acne scarring. Some people benefit from both, and which comes first depends on what is bothering you most.
It improves how they look by refining the surrounding texture and surface quality. It does not remove them. Deeper, tethered scarring needs a different approach, and you will be told honestly which category yours falls into.
